VARSITY LOGISTICS ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH TURNINGPOINT SYSTEMS

Partnership between industry leaders provides distributors an integrated solution for inventory control and multi-carrier shipping solution built on the IBM System i

San Francisco - September 27, 2010 — Varsity Logistics, Inc. and TurningPoint Systems today announced a partnership to provide distributors in the food, tobacco, candy, pharmaceutical and biotech industries with an integrated warehouse management and shipping solution built on the power and reliability of the IBM i operating system.

Both companies support distributors who run their operations on the IBM System i. The TurningPoint solution enables companies to manage their order to cash cycle, while the shipping data is passed off to Varsity ShipSoft which automates the entire shipping process.

Varsity ShipSoft-Parcel is a complete, integrated transportation management solution that automates the entire small package shipping process from order entry to shipment track and trace to back-end auditing and analytics. ShipSoft manages the selection of carriers, optimizes shipment pricing, and ensures label and manifesting compliance for major parcel carriers, including DHL, FedEx, UPS, BAX and the United States Postal Service. ShipSoft-Freight automates carrier and mode selection, weight, rate and label functions for LTL, truckload and rail shipments.
