Expanded partnership provides IBS ERP customers with tighter integration to best-of-breed shipping software for seamless order processing from entry through delivery.
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — May 4, 2004 — Varsity Logistics, Inc., the leader in multi-carrier shipping solutions for the IBM iSeries, today announced that International Business Systems (IBS), a world-leading supplier of distribution and manufacturing software, has selected Varsity Logistics as IBS’ only strategic shipping software partner.
This exclusive partnership allows IBS to focus organizational resources on a single transportation management solution. The agreement extends the initial marketing partnership signed with Varsity Logistics in 2002. Working closely together, Varsity and IBS will share product development plans to ensure compliance between future software versions, reduce implementation times and enhance customer support.

Shipment and order information is shared across the organization enabling:
- Rate shopping, selection of shipping options and quotation of shipping rates at order entry
- Instant visibility to shipment status and simplified requests for proof of delivery
- Accurate shipping costs for invoicing and analysis
