VARSITY INTRODUCES DHL INTERNATIONAL CARRIER COMPLIANCE
KIT
New module provides Varsity ShipSoft customers with international
DHL parcel shipping support.
San Francisco, CA. May 7, 2003. Varsity
Logistics, Inc., the pioneer of transportation management solutions
for the IBM iSeries (AS/400), announced that it has released a new DHL
certified International Carrier Compliance Kit (CCK) to support shipments
to all international destinations served by DHL. The kit enables full
shipment capabilities for all international DHL small parcel shipments
originating in the United States and includes compliant rating, routing,
documentation and labeling data.
The DHL International CCK extends Varsity's commitment to provide superior
international services to customers who ship globally. "Our goal
is to provide our customers with the widest range of carrier options so
that they can choose the carrier who best meets their needs," said
Tony Phillips, Varsity's Product Manager. "DHL's international service
is a valuable addition to our UPS and FedEx international modules."
In addition to rate and routing data, the DHL certified kit also produces
thermal air waybills and prints all required documentation, including
the Shippers Export Declaration (SEDs), Commercial Invoice, Canadian Customs
Invoice and Certificate of Origin (NAFTA and Standard).
Varsity Logistics worked closely with DHL to ensure the DHL International
CCK was certified to support all DHL international parcel shipping services.
In addition to DHL, Varsity offers carrier certified compliance kits for
domestic and international shipping services provided by FedEx, UPS, USPS,
Airborne, California Overnight, RR Donnelly and Purolator. Varsity customers
can also select from 350 LTL carrier tariffs or set-up any truckload,
rail or regional parcel carrier.
