VARSITY LOGISTICS AND CMS SOFTWARE PARTNER TO DELIVER SEAMLESS ORDER MANAGEMENT AND SHIPPING FOR IBM i5 USERS
Integration between Varsity ShipSoft and CMS i5 ERP software helps shippers increase shipping efficiency, reduce shipping costs and improve customer service.
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — October 6, 2004 —Varsity Logistics, Inc., the pioneer of transportation management solutions for the IBM i5 server, today announced that it has joined forces with CMS Software, a developer of enterprise resource planning software for lean manufacturers.
As part of the partnership, Varsity will offer an interface between Varsity's transportation management solution, ShipSoft, and CMS' i5 ERP software. The Varsity/CMS partnership enables their joint customers to leverage the speed, throughput and reliability of the IBM i5 server to achieve seamless order management and shipping.

- Accurate shipping costs for invoicing and analysis
Companies gain access to real-time parcel shipping status from any IBM i5 station eliminating time-consuming calls to the shipping department. They can also invoice on the same day, handle an order only once, easily track packages, and make real-time shipping information available to the service department.
