"I asked joint
Varsity/System 21 users about Varsitys solutions...
this is when I was able to develop a clear picture of
how easy it was going to be to integrate Varsity and System
21. Varsitys features and functionality, the invisible
interface into System 21, and the fact that it was a native
System i solution, made Varsity the clear choice."

Varsity's supply chain execution suite interfaces to all
major ERP, order entry, and warehouse management and legacy
systems developed for the IBM System i. All Varsity programs
and files reside on the System i, creating the most robust
and powerful online, real-time integration.
There are two methods of calling ShipSoft from an interface:
visible and invisible. When running ShipSoft using the visible
method, the interface will call a ShipSoft program that displays
a shipping screen allowing the user to verify and change the
shipping information prior to shipping a package. The invisible
method calls a ShipSoft program that does not display a screen.
With the invisible mode, it is very important to capture all
the information that is needed and pass it through the interface
to ShipSoft since the user does not see the information and
is unable to make changes to the data. Both of these modes
of ShipSoft will create the same labels and manifest records,
and both require an interface to pass information to them.
It is up to the users to determine which mode works best in
their environment.
